On the afternoon of September 29, 2014, the HCBU invited leaders of other Schools to share insights and valuable experience on the sustainable development. Wang Zunlin, Dean of School of Electronic Information Engineering, Ding Shuiting, Dean of School of Energy and Power Engineering, Li Min, Dean of School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering, LYU Weifeng, Dean of School of Computer Science, Zheng Xiaoqi, Dean of School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Fang Jiancheng, Dean of School of Instrument Science and Optoelectronic Engineering, Qiang Shixiang, Senior Consultant of HCBU and Chen Xin, Party Branch Secretary of HCBU attended the meeting.
First, Dean Ma Qi Shuang briefly reported the information of HCBU. Then, all the attendees enthusiastically shared their opinions, recognizing results achieved over the past twelve years and giving suggestions on the future development and expectations. They unanimously believed that in the new historical period, those who do not forge ahead will be left behind. For the HCBU, without the support of its own professors and tutors as well as the projects and laboratories to rely on, the development of schools will have no basis at all. Therefore, the HCBU must recruit expert teachers and special teachers who are recognized by the university. For students, they should not only learn basic courses well, but more importantly, establish lofty ideals and great ambitions. They should be determined to have academic innovations and struggle for it in their whole life.
